Trainee Assembly Operator – Full-time

About the role
The trainee will integrate opto‑mechanical and electro‑mechanical sub‑systems into final products, perform alignment and basic functional testing, and support the assembly of non‑specialised systems.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, receive and inspect kits for completeness, taking corrective action on any deviation.
- Clean, prepare and assemble parts, ensuring high workmanship quality.
- Build sub‑assemblies and complete processes such as burn‑in, vacuum baking, leak testing and purging.
- Perform first‑level alignment, elementary functional testing and present assemblies to Quality Control for acceptance.
- Pack sub‑assemblies, sign off work orders and hand them in for processing.
Required profile
- Natural aptitude for hands‑on work with excellent hand‑eye coordination.
- Basic knowledge of optical theory (preferred).
- Ability to read technical/manufacturing drawings.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Willingness to be trained in product assembly, ESD handling and optics handling.
