About the role

The Tour Operator Operations Coordinator works remotely on a full‑time basis to ensure seamless coordination of guides and vehicles for group tours. The role acts as the central link between overseas agents, local suppliers and internal teams, guaranteeing that travel services are confirmed, commissions are tracked and operational issues are resolved promptly.

Key responsibilities

• Confirm and book guide and vehicle services with suppliers for group travel itineraries.
• Monitor guide performance, commissions and service delivery.
• Liaise with overseas agents, local suppliers and internal departments to troubleshoot operational problems and implement last‑minute changes.
• Maintain accurate records of bookings, pricing, confirmations and operational reports.
• Identify process inefficiencies, propose solutions and promote best practices across the tourism operation.

Required profile

• Strong operational coordination and supplier liaison experience in tourism or hospitality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Afrikaans or additional languages are a plus.
• Detail‑oriented with solid administrative and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate with a dispersed team.
• Previous experience in travel coordination or the broader tourism/hospitality sector.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Suite.
• Familiarity with Tourplan software (or similar tour management systems).
