Temporary Homecare Advisor (Veteran Support)

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Temporary Homecare Advisor to act as the essential link between Air Liquide and the veterans we serve. You will deliver VA‑approved medical products to patients’ homes, ensure they are comfortable with the equipment, and provide education on safe use of home oxygen, CPAP and insulin pump therapies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and set up VA medical equipment (oxygen, CPAP, insulin pumps) at patients’ homes.
• Provide hands‑on training and education on equipment operation and safety.
• Manage administrative tasks, monthly follow‑ups, and patient records.
• Coordinate appointments for titration downloads, home sleep studies and routine visits.
• Maintain accurate stock counts, control disposables, and monitor expenses.
• Implement Therapy Initiation and Optimisation programs.
• Be on call 24 hours, including weekends and public holidays, to provide telephonic assistance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and VA procedures.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse degree or diploma (Matric/Senior Certificate required).
• Minimum 2 years experience in respiratory care.
• At least 3 years driving experience.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage patient relationships.
• Knowledge of VA safety procedures and consultative diagnostic processes.

Required skills

• CPAP therapy implementation and demonstration.
• Insulin pump therapy set‑up and patient education.
• Home oxygen therapy delivery and training.
• Titration data download and interpretation.
• Medical equipment delivery, installation and maintenance.
