About the role
To coordinate planned events and activations for the NFVF in the development and promotion of the film and video industry. The role reports to the Events Manager and is a 12‑month fixed‑term position.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement events and activation plans.
- Act as the primary point of contact for event‑related activities.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Assist with the coordination of the SA Film & Television Awards and the Oscars process.
- Manage resources including suppliers, budget tracking, reconciliation and checklist management.
- Arrange travel logistics for internal and external stakeholders within the allocated budget.
- Ensure events align with branding requirements and are delivered on time.
- Follow up on reports after all planned activations.
- Maintain an effective filing system and record‑keeping as per project requirements.
Required profile
- Degree or National Diploma in Events, Marketing Management or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in events management and planning (internship experience considered).
- Knowledge of the film and video industry is advantageous.
Required skills
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Computer literacy.
