Telesales Representative – Instant Life (FAIS)

About the role

Join Absa Bank Limited as a Telesales Representative focused on Instant Life (FAIS) products. You will drive growth by delivering customer‑centred, high‑quality sales over the phone, ensuring compliance and satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Treat customers fairly and ensure their satisfaction throughout the sales process.
• Professionally sell Instant Life insurance products and achieve profitability targets.
• Meet productivity and NTU (New Business) rate targets.
• Cold‑call, follow up on referrals and leads, and present funeral policy products clearly and ethically.
• Convert leads into completed policy sales and consistently meet or exceed monthly sales quotas (policies sold, premium value, conversion rate).
• Upsell or cross‑sell additional cover options where appropriate.
• Provide accurate information on benefits, premiums, waiting periods, and exclusions.
• Maintain regular follow‑ups with prospects to ensure high retention.
• Comply fully with insurance regulations, company policies, and POPIA/data‑protection standards.
• Collect and submit accurate documentation while avoiding any misrepresentation.

Required profile

• RE5 qualification with at least 150 FAIS credits in Life Insurance products.
• Basic understanding of underwriting.
• 2–3 years of experience in life‑insurance sales, customer service, or retentions.
• High energy, strong verbal communication, and ability to work under pressure.
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets.
• Self‑motivated with good time‑management skills.
