Telesales Representative – Instant Life (FAIS)

About the role

Join Absa Bank Limited as a Telesales Representative focused on Instant Life products. You will help drive the company’s growth by delivering customer‑centred, high‑quality sales in a fast‑paced call‑center environment.

Key responsibilities

• Treat customers fairly and ensure their satisfaction throughout the sales process.
• Professionally sell all Instant Life products while meeting profitability targets.
• Actively contact prospective clients through cold calling, referrals and lead follow‑ups.
• Present funeral policy products clearly, ethically and convert leads into completed sales.
• Meet or exceed monthly sales targets for policies sold, premium value and conversion rate.
• Upsell or cross‑sell additional cover options where appropriate.
• Provide accurate information on benefits, premiums, waiting periods and exclusions.
• Maintain regular follow‑ups, ensure compliance with insurance regulations and company policies, and adhere to POPIA data‑protection standards.

Required profile

• RE5 qualification with at least 150 FAIS credits in Life Insurance products.
• Basic understanding of underwriting.
• 2–3 years of experience in life‑insurance sales, customer service or retention.
• High energy, strong verbal communication and ability to work under pressure.
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets and self‑motivation.
