Technology Platform Lead - DPMM (Digital Pricing & Market Making)

About the role

The Technology Platform Lead will drive the strategic direction and delivery of FNB’s Digital Pricing and Market Making (DPMM) electronic trading platforms across multiple asset classes. Reporting to the Head of Electronic Trading Technology, the role balances maintaining resilient production systems with innovating new capabilities to support pricing, execution and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of Java developers, DevOps engineers and subject‑matter experts, fostering Agile and DevSecOps practices.
• Define and execute the technology roadmap, own release planning and prioritisation for the DPMM platforms.
• Manage end‑to‑end delivery and operational excellence, ensuring platform resilience, scalability, automation and observability.
• Engage with trading, product, risk and external vendors to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.
• Establish governance, risk management and operational controls, including incident management and root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematical Finance or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of technical management experience, preferably within Global Markets or banking.
• Deep understanding of multiple asset classes, market structure and pricing/execution processes.
• Proven track record delivering electronic trading, algorithmic trading or market‑making systems.
