Technician – Installation & Maintenance

About the role

Oxxa Solutions is seeking a skilled Technician to join its engineering team in Johannesburg. You will be responsible for ensuring that equipment and systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently through installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, test, and repair a variety of equipment and systems.
• Perform fault finding, troubleshooting, and corrective maintenance.
• Carry out preventative maintenance inspections and record findings.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications.
• Use diagnostic tools and measuring instruments safely and accurately.
• Document maintenance activities, technical reports, and service records.
• Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and technical standards.
• Support engineers, supervisors, and maintenance teams to minimise downtime.

Required profile

• Ability to work safely in an industrial environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record‑keeping.
• Good communication skills for reporting issues to supervisors and engineers.
• Willingness to follow technical procedures, safety regulations, and quality standards.
