Technical Support Specialist

About the role

Kentkart is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join its South African team. You will be the first technical point of contact on‑site, helping transit operators keep their intelligent transportation systems running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site technical and operational support for Kentkart hardware and software.
• Monitor system performance, investigate incidents and resolve operational issues.
• Perform first‑level troubleshooting of hardware, software and network problems.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
• Support system testing, maintenance and validation activities.
• Maintain clear communication between the customer and Kentkart technical teams.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost service quality and reliability.

Required profile

• Degree, diploma or equivalent technical background in IT, Computer Engineering, Electronics or related fields.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in technical support or field operations.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Customer‑oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
