Technical Service Manager

About the role

Our client in Edenvale is seeking a Technical Service Manager to lead the Technical Department, ensuring high‑quality technical support, network commissioning, repairs and after‑sales service. The role is responsible for meeting SLAs, improving system performance and boosting customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Technical Department to deliver technical support, network commissioning, repairs and after‑sales service.
• Monitor response times, service quality, resolution rates and ensure 24‑hour standby services.
• Maintain quality control across manufacturing, testing and field operations, reporting faults and trends.
• Oversee network commissioning, maintenance, callouts and required documentation.
• Manage service and repairs workflow to achieve a 3‑day turnaround time.
• Plan annual maintenance, upgrades and resource allocation.
• Conduct internal technical training and deliver structured customer training.
• Prepare weekly management and monthly EXCO reports and liaise with Production, Sales, Accounts and Stores.

Required profile

• Matric and relevant tertiary qualification.
• Strong technical background in electronic systems and network infrastructure.
• Proven leadership and operational management experience.
• Quality control and process improvement expertise.
• Strong analytical and reporting capability.
• Excellent customer engagement and communication skills.
