Technical Sales Representative – Plastics Machinery

About the role

An established supplier of premium plastics processing machinery is looking for a technically‑savvy Sales Representative to generate new business and nurture key accounts within the plastics manufacturing sector. The role combines deep product knowledge with consultative selling to help manufacturers upgrade their production lines.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in the plastics manufacturing market.
• Manage and expand existing customer accounts, ensuring high satisfaction.
• Sell injection moulding, extrusion, automation and related ancillary equipment.
• Conduct on‑site visits to assess production requirements and recommend solutions.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and presentations tailored to client needs.
• Negotiate terms, close sales and achieve defined revenue targets.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline and report progress regularly.
• Represent the company at industry events and trade shows as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience selling technical capital equipment.
• Proven track record in business development and account management.
• Strong understanding of plastics manufacturing processes.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.
