Technical Product Owner/Delivery Lead

About the role

The Technical Product Owner/Delivery Lead will drive the end‑to‑end delivery of IT projects within Nedbank’s portfolio, ensuring alignment with business strategy and architectural road‑maps. This senior position combines product ownership, delivery management and governance to optimise resources, manage risks and achieve transformational targets.

Key responsibilities

• Translate organisational strategy into functional requirements, KPIs, SLAs and reporting structures.
• Establish and run governance forums, manage escalated risks and ensure compliance with project methodologies.
• Model capacity requirements across the portfolio, negotiate resource constraints and optimise team performance.
• Validate end‑to‑end design against architectural road‑maps and engage stakeholders regularly.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis, implement corrective actions and enforce integration standards.
• Define tiered service level agreements for operational and call‑centre support.
• Drive budget planning, monitor spend and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Lead the full lifecycle of innovation and technical projects through the PMO.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of experience in an IT environment, with at least 2 years in a product‑owner or delivery‑lead role.
• Advanced Diploma or first‑degree qualification; Matric is required.
• Proven experience in budgeting, capacity planning, change management and stakeholder management.
• Strong understanding of governance, risk and controls, and SDLC methodologies.
