About the role

Armscor is looking for a highly experienced Technical Market Development Specialist to join its Business Enablement team in Pretoria. The role focuses on creating technology‑driven solutions for defence and security clients, driving revenue growth and strengthening Armscor’s market position.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customer requirements and translate them into integrated, cost‑effective capability solutions.
• Design multi‑year roadmaps aligned with client objectives and Armscor’s growth strategy.
• Identify high‑value solutions with long‑term revenue potential and support technology commercialisation.
• Promote Armscor’s value proposition, contribute to go‑to‑market strategies, pricing and proposal development.
• Collaborate with market research to forecast capabilities, spot emerging markets and recommend strategic investments.
• Engage stakeholders, conduct risk assessments and prepare executive‑level investment cases.
• Validate solutions, monitor performance indicators and optimise market penetration.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical solution development and business development within the defence or security sector.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate technical requirements into viable business opportunities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at senior executive level.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of driving revenue growth and market expansion.
