Technical Manager – Fleet, Tyres & Maintenance

About the role

The Technical Manager will guide the operating company on strategic decisions related to fleet, tyres, maintenance and workshops. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging digitisation and technology to support group objectives and reduce total cost of ownership.

Key responsibilities

• Implement corporate governance and compliance policies to manage risk.
• Analyse fleet and maintenance data, produce detailed reports and present insights to senior leadership.
• Develop and execute a medium‑term technical strategy focused on carbon‑footprint reduction and cost efficiency.
• Optimise workshop and tyre management systems, ensuring training and support for business units.
• Manage supplier relationships, SLAs and KPI performance through regular reviews.
• Chair the Group Technical Steering Committee, set KPIs and drive quarterly performance evaluation.
• Oversee fleet acquisition, disposal and capital budgeting, including AFE preparation and approval.
• Coordinate driver training initiatives with OEMs and internal departments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fleet, tyre or maintenance management within a large organisation.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret data trends and produce actionable recommendations.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including supplier and regulatory engagement.
• Ability to develop and implement technical strategies aligned with sustainability goals.
