About the role
The Furniture Technology Centre Trust (Furntech) is seeking a Technical Facilitator to deliver technical skills development, coaching and mentoring to individuals working in the furniture and wood product sectors in Cape Town.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical skills development programmes for selected participants in the furniture and wood product industries.
- Coach and mentor individuals to enhance their practical woodworking and upholstery capabilities.
Required profile
- South African citizen with Matric qualification and a pass in Mathematics.
- Minimum of three years experience in the wood‑working or furniture industry.
- Possession of an NQF Level 3 qualification in Upholstery or Wood Machining/Cabinet Making.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Computer literate, proficient in MS Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong passion for people development.
