Team Leader – Distribution Department

About the role

The Distribution Department in Olifantsfontein is seeking a proactive Team Leader to oversee staff, manage daily warehouse operations, and ensure smooth dispatch and receipt of stock. This role combines hands‑on supervision with process improvement to maintain high standards of safety and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the distribution team, including time‑and‑attendance tracking.
• Oversee dispatching, receiving, and general warehouse duties.
• Implement 20 Keys, HACCP, and risk‑control procedures while maintaining housekeeping standards.
• Provide relief support to the Superintendent and assist with stock counts.
• Train personnel on standard operating procedures within the logistics function.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 education; relevant tertiary qualifications are an advantage.
• Strong management, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Effective problem‑solving, planning, and the capacity to work independently under pressure.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• High attention to detail.

Required skills

• Computer literacy.
• Knowledge of HACCP principles.
