Team Lead Cost Controller

About the role

This position drives control of all administrative processes related to the region’s operational business, covering metrics data, cost analyses, stock management and service centre flows that impact customer accounts, production activities and third‑party payments.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee management and reconciliation of hire stock, raw material and trading stock, including disposal and sale processes.
• Analyse cost centre data and service‑centre metrics, investigate anomalies and report concerns to regional operations managers.
• Manage regional accounts payable, vendor and municipal accounts, and coordinate purchase‑order processes to maintain plant efficiency.
• Liaise with the Head‑Office Facilities Manager to ensure building, equipment, security and cleaning services meet safety and well‑being standards.
• Lead, motivate and develop the administration team, set KPIs, conduct performance reviews and identify training needs.
• Provide operational system support, including Kronos wage sign‑off, SAP super‑user functions, Business Warehouse reporting and COLT2020 implementations.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification – preferably a degree in Business Administration, Cost Analysis, Supply Chain or Accounting.
• Minimum 5 years of general administrative experience with staff management responsibilities.
• Extensive experience in stock control and system processes within a fast‑moving, pressured environment.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on SAP experience.
• 5 years of cost and data analysis experience.
