About the role
The Tax Department at Clicks is looking for a highly competent Tax Manager to provide maternity relief. Based at the Head Office in Cape Town, you will report directly to the Head of Tax and support the tax function on a temporary basis.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare income tax returns and supporting schedules for all group companies.
- Compute annual income tax figures for financial reporting.
- Assist with ad‑hoc audit queries and compile year‑end audit documentation.
- Update Country‑by‑Country Reporting and handle ad‑hoc Transfer Pricing requirements.
- Review monthly EMP201 and VAT201 submissions for local and foreign entities.
- Support various tax‑related ad‑hoc projects.
Required profile
- Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) qualification.
- Strong technical financial background with experience in corporate tax.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and solid research skills on tax legislation.
Required skills
- Working knowledge of Employee Tax, VAT, Income Tax and Transfer Pricing.
- Understanding of Deferred Tax concepts.
- Experience with E‑Filing and SAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word on Windows platforms.
