Systems Developer (SQL & Business Central)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Systems Developer to design, develop, and maintain business applications using SQL and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The role focuses on creating robust integrations, optimizing database performance, and supporting critical business processes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and customise solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Create and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers and views.
• Build and maintain integrations between Business Central and external systems using APIs, web services or middleware.
• Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues and monitor system performance, data integrity and security.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders, translate them into technical specifications and recommend process improvements.
• Produce technical and user documentation and train end‑users on new functionalities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience (advantageous).
• 3–5 years of SQL development experience and 2–3 years working with Dynamics 365 Business Central (or NAV).
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and reside in Heidelberg or surrounding areas.
