Systems Analyst

About the role

Icebolethu Group is looking for a Durban-based Systems Analyst who bridges the gap between non-technical stakeholders and technical teams. The role involves analysing, designing and implementing secure, scalable ICT solutions that fit operational objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, validate and document functional business requirements with internal stakeholders, and turn operational processes into functional specifications, data models and workflow designs.
• Recommend system enhancements that integrate with existing ERP/CRM platforms and ICT infrastructure.
• Work with development teams through configuration, testing and deployment, and validate solutions against performance targets, cybersecurity standards and legal compliance.
• Find operational bottlenecks and implement automation within strict change control and versioning protocols.
• Provide post-implementation support, oversee data integrity checks and run user training.
• Maintain technical documentation on system structures, workflows and integrations, and act as the main technical link between developers, data analysts, business units and external vendors.

Required profile

• Matric essential; a National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in ICT, Computer Science or a related field is highly advantageous.
• 3-5 years of systems or business analysis experience in a corporate environment.
• Preferred certifications: CBAP, ITIL or CompTIA Network+.

Required skills

• Advanced process modelling, functional specification design and practical knowledge of Agile, Waterfall or hybrid SDLC frameworks.
• SQL and modelling software such as Visio or Lucidchart.
• Familiarity with ERP and CRM platforms and their integrations.
• Excellent communication skills for working across teams and with vendors.
