Survey Pilot – Aerial Acquisition

About the role

Woolpert Africa is seeking experienced Survey Pilots to join its Operations Team in South Africa. The role involves flying a variety of twin‑engine aircraft on geospatial and aerial survey missions across multiple locations, often away from base for up to six weeks.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct safe and efficient flight operations for aerial data acquisition.
• Support geospatial survey projects by executing planned flight lines and data collection protocols.
• Maintain aircraft readiness, perform pre‑flight checks, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Travel to remote sites and remain flexible to extended periods away from home.
• Collaborate with ground crews, data analysts, and project managers to deliver high‑quality survey results.

Required profile

• Valid Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) with current medical certificate.
• Minimum 1,000 total flight hours, including 120 hours on twin‑engine aircraft.
• Current night and instrument ratings.
• Valid passport and willingness to be away from base up to six weeks.
