Supply Planner – Specialty Baking Division

About the role

RCL Foods is seeking a Supply Planner to join its Specialty Baking Division in Centurion. Reporting to the Supply Planning Manager, you will oversee the end‑to‑end supply planning process for packaging and ingredients, balancing forecast demand with supply constraints to maximise customer service while minimising cost.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (production, product development, demand planning, stores and distribution) to ensure uninterrupted supply.
• Apply demand‑planning and forecasting principles to develop short‑ and long‑term plans for packaging and ingredients.
• Manage stock levels considering storage capacity, shelf life, safety stock, supplier lead times and working‑capital targets.
• Execute material requirements planning (MRP) for packaging and ingredients, including BOM explosion and supplier production processes.
• Monitor key performance indicators and drive continuous improvement in supply chain efficiency.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Commerce, Logistics Management or Supply Chain (SAPICS/APICS diploma advantageous).
• 3‑5 years of operational experience in production planning or supply planning, preferably within the food industry.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, demand‑planning concepts and material requirements planning.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP and/or Syspro.
• Experience using the Barnton (Barton) supply‑chain planning tool.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and spreadsheet modelling.
