Supply Chain Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to manage procurement, logistics and warehouse functions for our telecom tower infrastructure business across Africa and the Middle East. The role will support cost optimisation, supplier performance and compliance while collaborating with operations, finance and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes from sourcing through delivery and payment.
• Support annual budgeting and drive cost‑optimisation initiatives.
• Ensure purchase requisitions and orders align with approved budgets and company procedures.
• Oversee supplier engagement, tendering, contract compliance and vendor performance against SLAs.
• Maintain and improve procurement, logistics and warehouse management processes.
• Partner with Legal to secure supplier contracts and compliance requirements.
• Support logistics planning and mobilisation for operational and project needs.
• Conduct supplier due diligence, onboarding and monitor KPIs to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Drive B‑BBEE compliance across the supplier base.
• Act as primary contact for warehouse service providers and ensure health, safety, ethics and governance compliance.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Projects and Group Supply Chain teams to enhance performance and reporting.
• Provide regular reporting and forecasting on supplier spend, performance and delivery.

Required profile

• Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of supply chain management experience, preferably in telecom, oil & gas or power.
• MCIPS/CIPS qualification preferred; Lean Six Sigma Green Belt advantageous.
• Fluency in English.
• Willingness to travel as required and experience working in South Africa or a large listed organisation.
