Supply Chain & Demand Planning Manager

About the role

JTI is seeking a strategic and results‑driven Supply Chain & Demand Planning Manager to lead cross‑functional planning activities across the SA Plus Cluster markets. You will ensure inventory levels match forecasted sales, secure uninterrupted supply of finished goods, and collaborate closely with Global Supply Planning, Production, Commercial, Marketing and Logistics teams.

Key responsibilities

• Align supply planning with market demand, monitor stock levels, sales performance and production availability to avoid overstock or shortages.
• Manage phase‑in and phase‑out processes for finished goods, proactively mitigating supply risks and minimizing NTM and FG write‑off costs.
• Serve as primary contact for Global Supply Chain and customers on production planning, shipment plans, inventory coverage and NTM ordering.
• Review monthly S&OP results, ensuring production plans support target DIO levels while optimizing costs.
• Lead consensus forecasting for SA Plus markets, model forecasts using IMS data, and upload accurate projections into global forecasting systems.
• Continuously analyze and improve supply chain processes, anticipate lead‑time disruptions and implement mitigation plans.
• Coordinate PLM and NPD activities, synchronising IBP and SNP data with launch timelines and managing run‑outs.
• Recruit, motivate and develop team members, manage ad‑hoc projects and identify cost‑optimization opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an FMCG environment, preferably within supply chain, marketing or sales functions.
• Proven ability to drive cross‑functional collaboration and deliver results in a fast‑moving market.
