Structural Design Engineer – Telecom Towers

About the role

We are a leading independent telecoms infrastructure company operating across Africa and the Middle East. Reporting to the Structural Engineering Manager, you will design and analyse telecommunications towers and related structures to ensure safety, compliance and cost‑effectiveness for new build and colocation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop structural designs for telecom towers, foundations and reinforced concrete structures.
• Perform structural analysis and simulations using STAAD Pro, Revit or ASM Tower.
• Create detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
• Design innovative tower strengthening solutions tailored to site‑specific requirements.
• Prepare engineering packages to support tower selection, construction and deployment.
• Ensure compliance with standards such as ANSI/TIA‑222, ACI 318, AISC 360 and ASCE 7.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver high‑quality solutions within project timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience designing and analysing telecom towers or similar steel lattice structures and their foundations.
• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and relevant codes.

Required skills

• AutoCAD
• Autodesk Inventor (or equivalent 3D CAD software)
• STAAD Pro, Revit or ASM Tower for structural analysis
• Knowledge of ACI 318, ANSI/TIA‑222, AISC 360 and ASCE 7 standards
• Ability to produce detailed 2D/3D engineering drawings
