Storeman (Logistics)

About the role

The Storeman will play a vital part in supporting Volvo Trucks' production line by receiving, unpacking and supplying materials efficiently. This role contributes directly to the company's mission of delivering sustainable transport solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and unpack parts from containers and linefeed the material according to production stages.
• Report any deviations or issues to the Logistics Team Leader during unpacking.
• Maintain 5S and housekeeping standards in the assigned area.
• Adhere to safe working practices at all times.
• Participate in additional logistics activities and overtime as required.

Required profile

• Matric/Grade 12 qualification (tertiary education advantageous).
• Relevant or similar experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
• Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong problem‑solving ability, attention to detail and reliability.
• Team player who is self‑driven, motivated and honest.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with MS Office applications.
• Experience using SAP.
