Store Director – Luxury Retail

About the role

The Store Director will lead a Gucci boutique, ensuring an unrivalled client experience while achieving business objectives. This senior position combines operational oversight, sales leadership, and brand ambassadorship in a luxury retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Drive and maximise sales performance to meet and exceed budget targets while maintaining operational integrity.
• Engage directly with top clients on the sales floor, delivering the highest level of service and meeting mystery‑shop standards.
• Manage stock levels in collaboration with buying and logistics teams to optimise full‑price sell‑through and support new product launches.
• Educate and coach associates on collection knowledge, brand pillars and seasonal strategy.
• Communicate company KPIs, develop action plans and monitor performance across product categories and client tiers.
• Lead local events, networking initiatives and product launches to boost client attendance and sales.
• Monitor fashion trends, competitor activity and market insights to inform business decisions.
• Oversee loss‑prevention compliance, visual merchandising standards and human‑resources processes.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in luxury or high‑end retail, preferably as a Store Manager or Director.
• Strong track record of achieving sales targets and managing profitable operations.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with both internal teams and external clients.
• Ability to inspire, develop and motivate a diverse associate team.
• Commitment to upholding brand values and delivering an exceptional client experience.
