Store Assistant – Stockroom

About the role

Woolworths is looking for a Store Assistant to join the stockroom team at its distribution centre in the Western Cape. You will help keep the stockroom organised, hygienic and safe while supporting the flow of merchandise to the stores.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, orderly and safe stockroom in line with company policies and OHASA standards.
• Process stock movements such as returns, inter‑branch transfers and waste according to Woolworths guidelines.
• Provide prompt and courteous service to internal customers, answering queries and fulfilling requests.
• Accurately record stock information and handle documentation with strong numeracy and literacy.
• Follow all company procedures to ensure product quality and minimise loss.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in a retail or FMCG stockroom or receiving environment is highly desirable.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts as required by store operations.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑service orientation.
• Reliability, integrity and adherence to attendance and dress‑code standards.
