Stock Controller – Pharmacy

About the role

A vacancy exists for a Stock Controller based at Life Robinson Hospital, reporting to the Pharmacy Manager. The role ensures quality pharmaceutical services, meets financial objectives, complies with legislation and people‑management requirements, and maintains optimal stock across all units through effective liaison and administrative support.

Key responsibilities

• Manage medication safety by reporting inventory incidents, analysing trends and implementing remedial actions.
• Support quality management systems, retain ISO 9001 accreditation and ensure compliance with SAPC, DOH and LHC standards.
• Contribute to financial targets by monitoring pharmacy budgetary measures and cost of sales.
• Oversee product management, handling complaints, building relationships with doctors and ensuring timely communication of stock changes.
• Achieve stock targets such as cover, dead stock, and variance, while maintaining accurate Item Master data.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a pharmacy or pharmaceutical stores environment.
• 2‑3 years’ experience in an administration or finance‑related role.
• Knowledge of inventory control processes and strong problem‑solving, conflict‑management and influencing skills.
• Basic financial and numeric abilities, attention to detail and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• SAP (proficiency advantageous).
• Computer literacy.
