Stock Auditor – Internal Audit & Control

About the role

Sandvik Mining is seeking a Stock Auditor to lead monthly stock control procedures across multiple branches. Working within the in‑house finance team, you will evaluate risk, verify inventory accuracy, and recommend improvements to minimise stock loss.

Key responsibilities

• Perform accurate stock count audits with Warehouse Operators or Controllers at designated sites.
• Reconcile audit findings, report variances and propose corrective action plans.
• Ensure all stock variances receive management approval and are updated promptly in the ERP system.
• Support stock returns from satellite sites to the main warehouse.
• Recommend enhancements to stock control processes to reduce risk of loss or write‑off.
• Prepare management reports on audit results and suggest improvements for cycle and audit counts.
• Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to minimise identified risks.
• Produce daily nil‑pick, weekly cycle‑count, frozen inventory, and stock‑adjustment ratio reports.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in stock control or internal audit.
• Advanced MS Excel proficiency.
• Strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Familiarity with auditing standards, relevant laws and regulations.
• Experience with ERP, WMS, TMS and EHS management systems (Aurora, DI preferred).
• National Diploma or Degree (NQF 6) in Accounting or Internal Audit.
