About the role

The position is for a dedicated staff nurse to provide comprehensive care for elderly residents at Huis Lettie Theron. The role involves delivering medical, physical, emotional and cognitive support while ensuring high standards of safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide ongoing support, guidance and leadership to care staff.
• Plan, organise and delegate daily tasks and responsibilities.
• Deliver holistic care covering medical, physical, emotional and cognitive needs of elderly clients.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements related to elderly care.
• Manage and control medication administration safely.
• Work flexible shifts, including day, night, weekend and public holidays.

Required profile

• Strong leadership qualities with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritize multiple duties.
• Willingness to provide continuous support and effective delegation.
• Team‑player attitude and ability to function well within a team.
• Readiness to work varied shift patterns as required.

Required skills

• Knowledge of medical, physical, emotional and cognitive care for the elderly.
• Understanding of legal regulations governing elderly care.
• Experience in handling and controlling medication.
