SQL Developer (Hybrid) – Johannesburg

About the role

We are seeking a skilled SQL Developer to join an insurance‑tech team in Johannesburg. The role is hybrid, with office days on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and focuses on designing, building and maintaining robust database solutions that turn data into actionable insight.

Key responsibilities

• Research system implications, latest technologies and methodologies.
• Develop, test and optimise SQL scripts, stored procedures, functions and ETL processes.
• Provide input to Business Analysts on specification quality and development requirements.
• Deploy, integrate and monitor database objects to ensure correctness and minimal errors.
• Manage physical implementation, change controls and documentation of SQL processes.

Required profile

• South African citizen with a valid ID.
• Matric with at least 60% in Mathematics.
• BSc Computer Science or BCom Informatics (Honours preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of SQL development experience.
