About the role
We are looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our remote team on a contract basis. You will work 10‑40 hours per week developing and maintaining scalable back‑end and full‑stack applications. This role offers the flexibility to collaborate with cross‑functional colleagues from anywhere.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable back‑end and full‑stack applications using languages such as Python, Rust, Go, Java, or Node.js.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and operations teams to deliver high‑quality software solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code following best engineering practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise existing codebases to improve performance and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural planning.
- Contribute to the full software development lifecycle from concept through testing and deployment.
Required profile
- Proven experience in software development with at least one of the listed languages or platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to build scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems.
- Experience working remotely in collaborative, agile environments.
- Familiarity with modern development tools, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
