Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Java Software Engineer specialising in API design and integration to machine learning platforms. The role focuses on building scalable Spring Boot microservices that expose and consume APIs, integrating with internal and external ML services, and delivering cloud‑native solutions on AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Integrate applications with external machine learning platforms and APIs.
• Implement secure, reliable and observable cloud‑based services.
• Apply API development best practices, including versioning, documentation and governance.
• Identify and resolve architectural and system integration challenges.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, Product teams and other technical stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews, testing and quality assurance processes.
• Support and improve development, testing and production environments.
