Software Engineer (Backend): FinCrime

About the role

BVNK is looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join its FinCrime squad. The role focuses on building seamless cross‑border payment solutions that combine crypto and fiat, improving speed, cost and user experience. You will work in a hybrid/remote setting within an autonomous squad delivering high‑quality, future‑proof services.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with product owners to iterate quickly and deliver functional features.
• Translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders across the business.
• Advocate for simple, effective solutions that meet customer outcomes.
• Design, develop and maintain robust Java/Spring Boot APIs and services.
• Contribute to engineering culture, standards and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a solid backend developer, preferably in FinTech.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Good understanding of banking, payments or crypto ecosystems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to participate in an on‑call rota.
