Software Engineer, Backend – Core/API & Process Automation

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and enhance the core systems that power next‑generation business process automation. You will work on distributed, event‑driven workflows that support critical enterprise operations at global scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend features within event‑sourced workflow engines and APIs.
• Contribute to technical designs, architecture decisions, and product‑focused development.
• Optimize performance by identifying inefficient processing patterns and improving data access across storage technologies.
• Build observability capabilities through logging, metrics, tracing, and monitoring.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide production support and on‑call assistance as experience grows.

Required profile

• Professional experience in backend engineering with a strong interest in distributed systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote‑first, asynchronous environment.
• Clear communication skills and a proactive ownership mindset.
