About the role
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world’s largest cloud platform, offering over 100 fully‑featured services to millions of customers. The Kumo team builds the software that powers AWS internal IT support, aiming to make support interactions seamless for Amazon employees. As a Software Development Engineer on the Kumo Last‑Mile squad in Cape Town, you will contribute to solutions that eliminate root causes, automate issue resolution, and guide users toward effective troubleshooting. The role leverages machine‑learning techniques to understand customer behavior, predict intent, personalize content, and power chatbot‑driven automation. You will collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and operations engineers to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable services. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting‑edge cloud technologies and influence the future of internal support tooling at Amazon.
