Software Developer

About the role

TIH is seeking a motivated Software Developer to join its team supporting leading financial service providers in South Africa. You will design, develop, and maintain applications that improve operational efficiency and meet client needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new and enhance existing applications, analysing user requirements and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Perform routine testing of websites and applications, diagnosing and resolving performance issues.
• Implement security measures such as data leak prevention, message encryption, and monitoring for security incidents.
• Maintain application road‑maps to align development work with business priorities.
• Provide advanced customer service for complex cases and enquiries.
• Monitor and correct straightforward software defects to ensure stable operation.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or SAQA‑equivalent qualification (essential).
• A recognised software development certification, degree or diploma (essential).
• At least three years of experience using relevant programming languages or technologies (essential).
• Experience with Microsoft Azure is advantageous.
• Commitment to continuous learning, professional accreditation and staying current with industry best practices.

Required skills

• 3+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Azure (advantageous).
