Software Craftsperson – Node.js, React.js & AI (Remote, South Africa)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Craftsperson with strong Node.js, React.js and AI experience to join a remote, AI‑native development team. You will own full‑stack features, improve production systems and help raise engineering standards across diverse projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable full‑stack applications using Node.js, React.js and AI‑enhanced tools.
• Apply software craftsmanship practices such as test‑driven development, clean code, refactoring and continuous delivery.
• Take end‑to‑end ownership of features, including front‑end, back‑end services, infrastructure and deployment.
• Collaborate through pair programming, code reviews and proactive teamwork.
• Work closely with product teams to define problems, propose solutions and deliver measurable outcomes.

Required profile

• 1.5+ years of hands‑on full‑stack development experience.
• Strong fundamentals in object‑oriented programming, data structures and algorithms.
• Comfortable working in Agile or Extreme Programming environments with continuous deployment.
• Self‑motivated, ownership‑driven and passionate about continuous improvement.
