Social Media Specialist

About the role

Shimansky is looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Social Media Specialist to join its Cape Town team. You will be responsible for shaping the brand’s online reputation by creating compelling stories and content across a range of digital platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute social media strategies and integrated marketing campaigns.
• Create, edit and optimise content for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok and others.
• Produce video edits and digital designs that align with brand guidelines.
• Monitor performance metrics, generate reports and provide actionable insights.
• Stay up‑to‑date with social media trends and incorporate fresh ideas into content plans.

Required profile

• Matric and a tertiary qualification in digital marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of hands‑on social media experience.
• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure, collaborate in a team and maintain a positive attitude.
