Social Media Assistant

About the role

Remote World is seeking a creative and organised Social Media Assistant to support the online presence of a UK‑based business. Working remotely from South Africa, you will help plan, create and schedule engaging content across key platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Create and schedule posts for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and X.
• Write captions and copy that reflect the brand’s tone and engage the target audience.
• Monitor comments, messages and mentions, responding or flagging as needed.
• Track post performance and compile simple monthly reports.
• Support campaign planning and coordinate content calendars.

Required profile

• Experience managing social media for a brand or business (not just personal accounts).
• Strong written English with an eye for tone and style.
• Reliable internet connection and a dedicated home workspace.
• Basic graphic design skills using Canva or similar (a plus).

Required skills

• Familiarity with scheduling tools such as Buffer, Hootsuite or Later.
• Basic graphic design using Canva or comparable platforms.

What we offer

• Salary: R14,000 per month.
• Full‑time, permanent remote position.
• Working hours: 09:00‑17:00 UK time (11:00‑19:00 SAST).
• Equipment provided.
• 20 days paid annual leave.
