Skilled Grinder – Metal Fabrication

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Grinder to operate grinding equipment and finish metal components to precise specifications. The role is based in Johannesburg and involves working closely with the production team to ensure high‑quality output.

Key responsibilities

• Operate grinding machines, angle grinders and related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Grind, deburr, smooth and finish metal parts according to technical drawings.
• Inspect finished components for quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on grinding equipment.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric (preferred) with 1‑2 years of grinding or metal‑fabrication experience.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials within safety limits.
• Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness and ability to work both independently and in a team.

Required skills

• Operation of grinding machines and angle grinders.
• Interpretation of engineering drawings.
• Use of measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers and gauges.
• Knowledge of grinding techniques and metal‑finishing processes.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
