Site Supervisor

About the role

The Site Supervisor will lead the on‑site team for metal‑processing projects, ensuring that all work is carried out safely, on schedule and within budget. This role requires close coordination with internal departments, clients and safety teams to maintain high standards of quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and manage all project resources and consumables.
• Supervise the on‑site team and motivate staff to achieve project targets.
• Conduct daily site inspections and additional assessments as needed.
• Liaise with internal departments and clients regarding progress and metal‑processing requirements.
• Maintain and update site safety files, work closely with SA Metal and customer safety departments.
• Ensure all machinery and equipment are safe, report faults and coordinate preventative maintenance.
• Manage administrative processes, timesheets, attendance records and submit progress reports.
• Facilitate health‑and‑safety toolbox talks and enforce PPE and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising on‑site teams in a construction or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and ability to manage safety documentation.
• Excellent organisational skills to coordinate resources, consumables and administrative tasks.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, departments and safety personnel.
