Site Security Officer – Cape Town

About the role

The SSD division of the CSO in Cape Town is seeking a responsible Site Security Officer to maintain a safe, secure and well‑maintained environment at its assigned location. The role involves overseeing access, patrolling premises and supporting the overall security operations of the site.

Key responsibilities

• Control pedestrian and vehicle access to the site.
• Patrol the property and monitor CCTV and other surveillance equipment.
• Inspect buildings, equipment and access points for security compliance.
• Maintain an accurate occurrence book and report incidents.

Required profile

• Matric qualification (essential); tertiary qualification advantageous.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a security role with a current PSIRA Grade C certification.
• Clean criminal record and good physical health; fitness assessment required.
• Strong verbal and written communication, calm under pressure and able to manage difficult situations.
• Organised with solid administrative abilities and a team‑oriented attitude.

Required skills

• PSIRA Grade C certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Word.
• Basic operation of CCTV systems.
• Firearm competency (advantageous) and a valid driver’s licence (advantageous).
