Site Manager – Power Plant C&I

About the role

The Site Manager will lead all activities on a power‑plant or industrial Control & Instrumentation (C&I) site in Secunda. You will ensure that electrical and instrumentation work is performed safely, on schedule and to Eskom standards while coordinating staff, subcontractors and project resources.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations, manage manpower, equipment, tools and material requirements.
• Monitor project schedules, productivity and progress; prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports.
• Coordinate between client representatives, engineers and subcontractors.
• Supervise C&I installation, electrical activities and review schematic, loop drawings and technical specifications.
• Support commissioning, fault finding and troubleshooting.
• Enforce Eskom standards, statutory regulations, quality and safety procedures; conduct toolbox talks.
• Verify inspection records and test documentation before submission.

Required profile

• B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a power‑plant or industrial C&I environment.
• Proven experience in project coordination and contractor supervision.
• Strong knowledge of site safety standards and quality compliance procedures.
• Excellent planning, reporting and organisational abilities.

• Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
• Standalone controllers, recorders and industrial bus protocols.
• Interpretation of schematic and loop drawings.
