Site Manager – Mining & Industrial Projects

About the role

Lead all site execution activities for medium to large mining, hoisting and industrial projects, ensuring safety, efficiency and compliance with contractual, technical, quality and statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate on‑site start‑up, construction, erection, testing and commissioning activities in line with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule and safety requirements.
• Monitor progress, review periodic reports and ensure timely hand‑over of work areas to the customer.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, authorities and suppliers to secure support for field activities.
• Close punch lists, deliver as‑built documentation, reconcile materials, demobilise the site and obtain final customer certification.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
• Trade‑tested artisan qualification, preferably electrician.
• 4–6 years experience as a Site Manager, Construction Manager, Site Supervisor or similar role in mining, industrial or construction environments.
• Proven ability to manage site installation activities, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer‑based project administration.
• Experience developing and maintaining project schedules, cable schedules, installation progress reports and productivity tracking tools.
• Experience preparing and managing installation check‑sheets, punch lists, quality‑control documentation and site records.
