About the role
The Site Controller will manage all temporary and contract workers on a construction site in Cape Town, ensuring staffing levels meet client requirements and that workforce performance aligns with health, safety and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily attendance, absenteeism, and shift coverage for temporary staff.
- Maintain accurate timesheets, attendance registers and payroll documentation.
- Coordinate replacements and additional labour when needed.
- Conduct site inductions, enforce PPE, uniform and access‑card compliance.
- Monitor employee conduct, productivity and performance, escalating serious issues.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly staffing reports.
- Liaise with client supervisors on staffing needs, performance and satisfaction.
- Assist with recruitment, placement and turnover analysis.
Required profile
- Matric qualification.
- Own transport.
- Proven experience supervising staff and managing construction sites.
