Shop Assistant / Cashier (X1 Clicks Woodhill)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Shop Assistant/Cashier to join our X1 Clicks Woodhill store. You will be the front‑line representative, delivering efficient point‑of‑sale service and creating a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the POS system accurately, scan merchandise and process payments, including clubcard rewards.
• Handle cash safely and ensure cash‑handling procedures are followed.
• Promote and enrol customers into the Clicks clubcard to meet participation targets.
• Inform customers about promotions and encourage upselling to drive sales.
• Maintain store merchandising standards, visual displays and general housekeeping.
• Stay up‑to‑date on product ranges, promotions and events to provide accurate information.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification (essential).
• Basic maths and numeracy skills.
• Retail/FMCG experience or a strong interest in customer‑facing roles.
• Ability to follow instructions, meet targets and work under pressure.
