Shift Production Manager

About the role

Premier FMCG is seeking a Shift Production Manager to oversee three bakery production plants. The role is responsible for delivering the budgeted quantities of bread on time, to specification and quality standards, while fostering a high‑performance culture aligned with the Premier Way.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of three production plants to meet quantity, quality and cost targets.
• Supervise staff, monitor attendance and ensure productivity on the factory floor.
• Record and verify all stock movements using Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Maintain store management, stock rotation and month‑end stock take accountability.
• Develop and communicate operational strategies and value‑chain processes.
• Ensure compliance with food safety (FSSC22000) and occupational health & safety standards.

Required profile

• Chamber of Baking certificate (essential).
• Matric or equivalent qualification.
• 3‑5 years experience managing a FMCG bakery plant (minimum 5,000 loaves per hour).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
• Knowledge of FSSC22000 food‑safety standards.
• Understanding of bakery process quality requirements.
