Senior Technician – Security Systems (Head Office)

About the role

The Senior Technician will be based at G4S Secure Solutions' Head Office in Centurion, reporting to the Regional Technical Manager. This self‑starter will drive contract performance, uphold company policies, and ensure the delivery of high‑quality security system services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and administer technology contracts to achieve sound financial performance.
• Plan and monitor SLA contracts focusing on maintenance, sustainability, cost‑effectiveness and labour.
• Oversee contract margin, billable hours, job cards and timelines.
• Allocate staff to workflow, coordinate daily tasks and monitor performance.
• Motivate, train and evaluate subordinates while ensuring compliance with G4S’s code of conduct.
• Co‑ordinate maintenance and project processes that impact contract success.
• Maintain client relationships, drive retention and uphold service level standards.
• Implement quality controls, inspections and adherence to operational standards.
• Participate in health and safety planning, forums, incident reporting and follow‑up.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric equivalent.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• 3‑5 years experience in electronic security services or maintenance.
• Formal technical training (advantageous).

Required skills

• Implementation and maintenance of CCTV systems.
• Access control system expertise.
• Intruder detection system knowledge.
• Fire detection and fire suppression system experience.
• Broad knowledge of time‑and‑attendance software.
